To further promote exchanges and cooperation between Shandong Province and Tanzania in the field of trade and investment, culture and tourism, H.E. Mbelwa Kairuki, the Tanzanian Ambassador to China and his delegation visited Zibo, Qingdao and Weihai of Shandong Province from March 23 to 29. Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., as a benchmark model company for economic and trade cooperation with Africa, was invited to be interviewed and attend relevant business research activities and symposiums.

On March 24th, at the Zibo-Tanzania industrial cooperation symposium, Ambassador Kairuki mentioned Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. and its project in Tanzania, and said that he would always pay attention to and support the development of Huatan Company in Tanzania. Meanwhile, he appreciated the efforts made by Huatan Company to help China enterprises enter into Tanzania. Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. was invited to be guest of the symposium to do a report on its project in Tanzania -- the Comprehensive Service Zone of East Africa Commercial and Logistics Industrial Park.

On March 26th, Ambassador Kairuki visited Shandong Port, accompanied by Lu Wei, deputy director of Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, and Li Fengli, deputy secretary of the party Committee, director and general manager of Shandong Port Group.

During the symposium, Director Lu Wei introduced the cooperation status between Shandong and Tanzania, and Ambassador Kairuki  introduced Tanzanian business environment. He hoped that on the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the "the belt and road" initiative, more enterprises could go abroad and invest in Tanzania, and more cooperation projects between Shandong and Tanzania could be implemented. Shandong Port Group, Qingdao Airport Group, Zhongtong Bus Co., Ltd. and Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. respectively introduced their company business and expressed their strong willingness to cooperate with Tanzania to promote economic and trade exchanges in the future.

On March 28th, during the business tour in Weihai, the delegation accompanied by Zhao Baogang, deputy mayor of Weihai, visited and investigated Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., and Ambassador Kairuki made a presentation for products imported from Tanzania in the Product Exhibition Hall of Huatan Company with great interest.

On March 29th, Weihai-Tanzania Symposium.on Economy and Trade Investment was held successfully in beautiful Weiha cityi. The symposium was presided over by Zhao Guanghong, deputy chairman of Weihai CPPCC and director of Weihai Foreign Affairs Office. Zhao Baogang, deputy mayor of Weihai, delivered a speech. Mr. Kairuki , Tanzania's ambassador to China, introduced Tanzania's investment opportunities and preferential policies at the symposium.

Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., as a representative  enterprise in Weihai, was invited to attend the symposium. Wang Xiangyun, the chairman of Weihai Huatan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., made a speech at the symposium and said that the comprehensive service zone of East Africa Commerical and Logistics Industrial Park constructed by Huatan company was the largest economic and trade cooperation industrial park in Tanzania, which would be a bridge for more Chinese and Tanzanian companies to do trade exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation.
